As a democratic organization ourselves, we’re big supporters of the voting process. We strongly encourage everyone to make the time to go out and vote.
It’s not always easy to decide which candidate to support, but it’s an important responsibility to get informed on the issues and make a decision.
Here are some tools you may want to use to learn about candidates and the voting process:
- Elections Canada – including voter registration tools, how to find your riding, and instructions on what to do if it’s voting day and you haven’t registered as a voter.
- There’s also a tool to find out the names of candidates running in your area.
- The Global News election hub – including a promise tracker and a fact checker on candidate statements and a “find your riding” tool
- The Star’s election hub, including a tool that allows you to view demographic profiles on ridings.
(Registration is required – but registration is free.) - CBC’s Canada Votes poll tracker
- CBC and VoxLabs Vote Compass tool shows how your views align with those of federal candidates.
It’s all happening Monday, October 21 and polls are open from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
