James Barry Appointed to Ontario’s COVID-19 Recovery Council

James Barry, Executive Secretary Treasurer of the IBEW CCO has accepted an appointment to sit on the Ontario Jobs and Recovery Council (OJRC) , Ministerial Advisory Council on Construction consultation to assess the economic and societal impacts of COVID-19.

James elaborates, “These are unprecedented times.  We must create strategies to work through this pandemic as we move towards recovery in the construction industry. We must ensure proper safety measures as we continue to deal with COVID-19 for the foreseeable future. The construction industry and it’s entire  labour force must have solid policies and regulations that will allow maximum safety for all tradespersons as we continue to build and maintain our province with confidence.  I look forward to working with all council members and The Honourable Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Training & Skills Development to reach our common goals.”
