October 6th declared Electrical Injury Day of Recognition

October 6, 2022

October 6, 2022 has been selected as a day of recognition by the Canadian electrical industry in order to raise awareness about the long term consequences of electrical shock exposure and electrical injury.

It is important to note that electrical shock is not limited to electricians or tradespersons. Unfortunately, this is something that can happen to anyone and new research shows that a complex injury, or long term sequela, can develop months to years after electrical shock exposure.

We encourage our members and the general public to familiarize yourself with this research and to help bring awareness to others.
