The Progressive Certified Trades Coalition (PCTC) announced that it will postpone its rally at Queen’s Park originally scheduled for Tuesday February 21st. A new date has not been set at this time.

“The government is listening to us and has proposed a new initiative that we believe will strengthen our trades,” said Jim Hogarth, chair of the PCTC and Business Manager of the Ontario Pipe Trades Council. He went on to say, “We are prepared to work in a positive and constructive manner that ensures the investment tradespeople have made in their craft is recognized and protected.”

“We want to thank all the members and locals across the province for their strong support for our efforts and the rally,” said John Grimshaw, Business Manager of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Construction Council of Ontario (IBEW CCO). “The solidarity from the various trades and firm resolve in face of the attack on our trades is a testament to our members.”

Further details will be shared as they are available.
